The Collector's Guide Releases Latest Guide to Art and Culture of New Mexico

(Albuquerque, NM), September 26, 2007 -- - The Collector’s Guide (www.collectorsguide.com), the award-winning, definitive resource for art buyers and browsers seeking information about the art and culture of the Santa Fe, Taos, and Albuquerque areas of New Mexico, announces the release of its annual Fall guide.

This comprehensive, 350-page guide contains over 800 full-color images along with a roster of over 6000 artists’ names cross-referenced to their galleries and studios. In addition, the Guide contains:

• Detailed charts, maps, indexes, and other features to help pinpoint art in the three cities.
• A directory of art services and experiences (such as tours and workshops), as well as dining and lodging resources.
• Glossaries for Indian Arts and Crafts, Hispanic Folk Art, and general art terms.
• Museums and events listings highlight arts events throughout the year as well as Indian Pueblo events and studio tours.
• In-depth art features including an article on glass art in New Mexico, a feature on area museums, and tips on collecting and displaying art.

The publication also maintains an extensive web presence at  www.collectorsguide.com, with a searchable database of art and artists as well as a comprehensive calendar of arts events, updated daily.  The web site receives 8,000-10,000 page views per day by approximately 3000 daily visitors.

180,000 of the Guide are distributed free throughout northern New Mexico, to arts and related events around the country, along with its own paid subscriber base. The Guide is available for $9/year or $16/2 years postpaid.

The Collector's guide also runs Artspace 116, a gallery located in the magazine's headquarters in Albuquerque, which offers rotating exhibitions throughout the year.

In addition, Pamela Michaelis, founder of the The Collector’s Guide, produces New Mexico Gallery News, a weekly broadcast on KHFM 95.5,  which is available via podcast on www.collectorsguide.com. Visitors  can sign up for the podcast on the web site.  The New Mexico Gallery News is also available as a weekly newsletter emailed or viewed on  the web site.
