Home Buyer Publications Announces New Offices
Chantilly, Virginia-based operations move to Boulder, Colorado
Chantilly, VA -- Active Interest Media today announced that it is moving the design, production, and back office operations
of Home Buyer Publications to Boulder, Colorado, to join the company’s growing presence there. In Boulder, Home Buyer will share a building
with AIM’s Outdoor and Equine Groups, and its design and production staff will integrate into those group’s award-winning operations. Current
editorial and sales staff at Home Buyer will continue to work from virtual offices that have long been located across the country for optimal
access to industry events and partners related to their respective titles.
“Led by industry veteran and group general manager Pete Miller, Home Buyer has exceptionally strong sales and editorial talent,” said AIM President Andrew Clurman. “This move will give our editors and salespeople opportunities to tap a broader range of creative resources with strong digital development capabilities.” The transition encompasses all of Home Buyer’s titles, including Log Home Living, Timber Home Living, Country’s Best Cabins, Old House Journal, New Old House, Old House Interiors, Arts & Crafts Homes, and Early Homes, and will be complete by March 1, 2013.
The integration will be led by Jonathan Dorn, AIM’s SVP of Content and Product Development, who assumes management of the edit, design, and production operations for Home Buyer. A 20-year veteran of enthusiast magazine publishing, Dorn is the winner of five National Magazine Awards and brings extensive experience in developing multimedia content across web, tablet, and video channels. “Establishing a larger creative services group here in Boulder that encompasses three of AIM’s five divisions will enable our top talent to share resources and best practices, leading to media products that are ultimately more engaging to our readers and our clients’ customers.”
Miller will stay close to his markets and his virtual staffers by remaining in his Washington D.C. office. “This move is a positive change for us, providing efficiencies that will enable us to reapply resources towards strengthening our core products. I’m excited to work with Jonathan and his team to develop new magazine, digital, and conference ideas that help grow the log home and old house markets.”
