MARKETING AUTOMATION SPECIALIST

Reports to: Lead Generation Marketing Director

DESCRIPTION TAs our Marketing Automation Specialist you will work with editors, sales team, digital producers, and clients to develop and execute digitally focused lead generation programs for Active Interest Media’s Home Group, initially focusing on three brands serving the luxury home market: Log Home Living, Timber Home Living, and Country’s Best Cabin. Your primary responsibility will be the creation and management of lead generation campaigns that help our team increase the quantity and quality of homebuyer prospects. At your disposal will be the most robust archive of content in the log and timber world, a new purpose-built website, and a strong set of metrics and automation tools built into our email platform.

This position mashes up marketing, digital and data analytics skills, and requires an agile intellect that can blend customer intelligence, storytelling, database manipulation, and technology to craft world-class marketing programs. Using data analysis and cutting-edge audience-engagement techniques, our lead gen team will build efficient campaigns that are meaningful for both our readers and our advertising partners.

You’re a digital marketer and data junkie who blends entrepreneurial thinking with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. You’ve demonstrated the ability to think innovatively while also paying attention to detail and delivering results against monthly and quarterly goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate on vision and strategy for the Home Group’s new lead generation and nurturing system.
  • Manage marketing campaigns from start to finish, including planning, testing, evaluating and reporting. Focus on email marketing with additional efforts from social media, web and print.
  • Monitor, analyze, report and adapt to data from digital and social monitoring tools with the goal of improving traffic, customer engagement and lead conversions.
  • Use marketing automation tools to create database segments and targeted and triggered messages based on customer preferences and actions.
  • Understand how all aspects of the marketing program, from opt-in and message content and design to delivery and list management, affect email deliverability.
  • Partner with the Lead Generation Marketing Director and sales staff to optimize marketing campaigns and content performance to achieve external goals (prospects) and internal benchmarks (ROI, CPL).

JOB REQUIRMENTS

  • 2-3 years of experience working in a modern, data-driven lead generation business, with a strong understanding of best practices throughout all facets of the funnel, from content marketing and email acquisition to nurturing and scoring.
  • Intimate knowledge of email marketing and marketing automation software, database management, basic HTML, data analysis and reporting and Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with WordPress sites and CRM databases.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills including the ability to provide guidance to industry partners who range from novices to experts.
  • Execution-focused mindset and a highly analytical approach that’s capable of interpreting data to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Capacity to balance, prioritize and deliver excellent results under tight deadlines.

MISSION The Healthy Living Group, part of Active Interest Media, is looking for a digitally savvy professional, experienced in project management and problem solving. The Digital Advertising Specialist is to be the lead digital advertising expert and primarily responsible for creating media plans, pricing of the web inventory and project managing custom campaigns for Yoga Journal, Vegetarian Times and Clean Eating. This role reports to the Director of Integrated Marketing, based in Boulder, CO.

OUTCOMES

  • Create digital media plans while strategically pricing all placements to meet goals

  • Project manage custom web programs as the lead point of contact

      PHOTO INTERNSHIP - Yoga Journal
      Location: Boulder, CO

      YOGA JOURNAL magazine is looking for a well-organized, creative person with a strong eye for photography, an outgoing personality and an eagerness to learn for a 3-6 month internship within the art department.

      This person will report directly to the Photo Director at our Boulder, CO, office and work closely with the art and edit departments to help execute Yoga Journal’s vision.

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Currently enrolled and working toward a degree in photography, fine art, graphic design or print journalism.
      • A commitment of 90 days is preferred; start date is flexible. Commitment of at least 24 hours per week is desired.
      • The internship MUST count as college credit. A small stipend will be provided.
      • Good working knowledge of Adobe CS5.5, particularly Photoshop and Bridge, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word. Basic knowledge of video and editing also preferred.
      • Strong familiarity with macs (we are a Mac office).

              • A commitment of 90 days is preferred; start date is flexible. A commitment of at least 20 hours per week is desired.
              • The internship MUST count as college credit. A small stipend will be provided.

                  Job Description
                  The Equine Network, part of Active Interest Media, has an immediate opening for a Digital Marketing Designer, located in our Boulder, Colo., office. This person is responsible for creating marketing materials for our sales teams, as well as materials for the promotion of our array of digital products.

                  The Equine Network is the largest collaboration of horse-related magazines and websites in the industry. Duties would include design of marketing collateral, assistance in program strategy and more. Tasks will include the creation of the following, plus many other exciting opportunities:

                  • Digital media kits
                  • HTML newsletter templates
                  • Sales sheets
                  • Sales presentations in PowerPoint
                  • Promotional ads for print and web
                  • Contest imagery
                  • Project wrap-up presentations

                  Within the Equine Network, we handle projects for high-profile clients and events; the thought and planning required for execution is paramount. Our products cover all aspects of the horse industry, from English and Western markets to stable management and veterinary business. We also run the most active horse classified site in the industry, Equine.com. All of these assets required marketing materials, and the person in this role would be instrumental in creating them.

                  To qualify, the candidate must have a high attention to detail, be extremely organized, extensive knowledge of the horse industry and a background in design and marketing. A degree in marketing or design is preferred. Knowledge of Photoshop or InDesign, HTML, PowerPoint Xcel, Word, Outlook, and web applications is essential. Experience with digital magazines is a plus. This person will work out of the Boulder office.
