Boulder, CO (September 8, 2016) – Active Interest Media (AIM, aimmedia.com) today announced that EQUUS (equusmagazine.com), the country’s leading resource for horse owners, is scheduled to launch in China in January. The brand will be licensed by Beijing-based Asgard Sports and Culture Development Co. Ltd., one of China’s top equestrian clubs.

EQUUS, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2017, covers a wide range of topics related to horses and riding, including veterinary research, training and nutrition. “We value the brand and that is why we chose EQUUS over numerous others,” said Daisy Chi, CEO of Asgard Equestrian Club.

The Chinese equestrian market is increasing approximately 20% a year, according to London-based Research International. The country currently has about 1,300,000 riders and more than 800 horse clubs.

“The equine market continues to demonstrate strong growth year over year,” says Dayna Macy, Director of International Licensing for AIM. “We are delighted to work with Asgard to bring EQUUS’ trusted and valuable content to the Chinese market.”

EQUUS China will launch digitally in January 2017, with a print edition to follow.
