Active Interest Media, Inc. Acquires Yachts Magazine

Consumer Enthusiast Publishing Company AIM Adds Luxury Yachting Magazine to Portfolio of Specialty Publications, Events and Electronic Media Holdings.

EL SEGUNDO, CA (October 30, 2006)  ---  Active Interest Media, Inc. (AIM) announced that it has acquired Yachts magazine, a leading luxury yachting publication, adding another consumer enthusiast magazine title to its growing portfolio of magazines, consumer shows, books and internet sites.

The announcement was made by Efrem "Skip" Zimbalist III, AIM President and Chief Executive Officer.

"Yachts Magazine gives AIM another great bridge to the international marine community and industry," said Zimbalist.  In March of 2006, the company purchased Show Management, producer of major boat shows and events including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show©, the largest boat show in the world.

"The Yachts Magazine team has had a long-standing partnership with our boat shows.  By now bringing AIM's publishing resources to bear on Yachts' behalf, we can accelerate the magazine's already rapid growth," said Andrew Clurman, Chief Operating Officer of AIM.

Yachts is a 10 year-old bi-monthly publication with circulation of 49,000.  Readers are typically owners of yachts 60 feet in length or more ranging upward in price from $2 million to well over $100 million dollars. The magazine has sister editions in France, Croatia, Italy, and Russia. Says Michel Karsenti, Founder of Yachts Magazine, "I am thrilled to join the AIM family and welcome the opportunity it presents to grow our magazine and AIM's boat shows." The entire Yachts team including Michel Karsenti and Karlene Pack will remain on board in the magazine's Fort Lauderdale, Florida headquarters.
